Abandoned Armenia: Karahunj

One of the most ancient megalithic constructions of the world Karahunj is located in Syunik province of Armenia, near the town of Sisian. Even with the tracks on a burnt plain there are a series of giant red-brown monoliths. The two-meter pointed blocks are drawn exactly from South to North, covering a fairly large area. In the center they form a correct circle.

Proved Karahunj – ancient Observatory, built by human civilization. It was built in VI Millennium BC steles In many drilled holes that correspond exactly to the location of the stars in the sky. Similar structures scientists discovered in many parts of Europe. The most famous of them is Stonehenge in England, erected in the II Millennium BC.

Extraordinary hypothesis regarding the functions of Stonehenge was proposed in 1992 Kyiv researchers will Fordham R. and J. Shvaydak who believe that megalithic structures of Stonehenge moth to be a complicated technical devices, namely, generators of acoustic or electronic fluctuations.

The study of Stonehenge has long been engaged in an outstanding Armenian scientist Paris Heruni . Professor Heruni proved that Stonehenge is much older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids. Stone structures of Stonehenge were not used as graves, as were the temple of the Sun God and was the ancient Observatory,as the holes in the stones corresponded to the location of the stars in the sky, which proves that the people of those times knew about the world and the Universe much more than you might think.

Unfortunately, today in the territory of one of the oldest observatories in the world walking the cow. Their presence here no longer surprised, there is cause outrage in people who are aware of the importance of these stones. Cows graze in the Stonehenge in the background a sign reading “Stones do not touch, keep the territory clean.” Stonehenge no fenced. Perhaps the construction of the fence would avoid such a close neighbourhood of ancient history with modern animal husbandry.
