Ancient buildings in the mountains of Wudang mountain

>Wudang mountain is a mountain ridge located in Hubei province, Central China. Different names of mountains sounds like Tygesen. Wudang mountains gained fame thanks to a whole complex of ancient Taoist buildings, which is an incredible cultural treasure of the Chinese nation. And yet, in these majestic mountains originated one of the main schools of Wushu in China – Wudang, which greatly enriched the Chinese martial art with new styles and techniques. The contribution of Wudang school for the development of Wushu is simply impossible to overestimate. All of these unique cultural sites in 1994 were listed as UNESCO world heritage.

In former times there were Taoist University, who has studied martial arts, meditation, medicine, nutrition. The construction of the main part of the Taoist temples occurred in the 15th century, which contributed significantly to the Yongle Emperor. But, here there are more ancient building, Dating from the 7th century. For example, the Temple of the Five Dragons that appeared during the Tang dynasty. It focused 70 temple caves, 36 convents, 2 temples, palaces 8 and 39 bridges and 12 pavilions. In total, concentrated in Wudang mountains for more than 200 ancient structures. And, four dilapidated Palace and Palace complexes Ulungur and Uyugu. And on top of the mountain Danjoutin dominates the “Golden hall”, the history of which is more than 500 years. He is also considered China’s largest building made of copper. All these picturesque buildings are at the foot of Wudang mountain and cover an area of more than 1 million square meters.

Wudang mountains combine stunning natural beauty and Chinese architecture, which is highly inherent elegance and finesse. Local buildings made of different materials, represent different periods of the history of China and reflect the philosophical beliefs of the Chinese people in a particular historical period.
